Thank you!!!

Thank you for your interest in supporting our work. Dance for PD Mid-Atlantic currently provides nine (and growing), free weekly classes across the region. We are entirely dependent on contributions, sponsorships, partnerships and grants. Your contribution will help keep this going and help us grow.

Dance for PD Mid-Atlantic is the regional hub of Dance for PD, an internationally recognized program of the Mark Morris Dance Group. Your contribution will be made to the Bowen Fund, housed at Dance for PD headquarters.

What is the Bowen Fund?

The Bowen Fund was created by Lucy Bowen, in partnership with Dance for PD, to sustain and grow Dance for PD around the world. The Fund supports three initiatives:

  • Dance for PD Mid-Atlantic

  • The Bowen Award for Inclusive Choreography, now in its 5th year, awards 1-2 choreographers each year up to $12,000 towards the creation and performance of an original work of choreography developed in collaboration with and publicly performed by people living with Parkinson's. (Learn more)

  • Dance for PD Launch Grants offer fast-track, responsive funding to jump start Dance for Parkinson's programs in new and/or under-served communities. (Learn more)

As you consider your contribution, here are some benchmarks:

  • $200 to $350 - The cost of a single Dance for PD class

  • $1,000 - Supports a month of classes in one location

  • $2,000 - Supports a launch grant!

  • $2,500 - One week’s cost of classes across the Mid-Atlantic

  • $12,000 - Funding for one recipient of the Bowen Award

Monthly contributions are a terrific way to sustain your gift, and they significantly help us plan for and support our growth.
